The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday October 19, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly Cloudy conditions are expected over Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa, with chances of dust haze over Katsina, Kano, Dutse and Nguru in the morning. Later in the day, most of the northern cities will be under dust haze condition. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 35 – 38°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy morning is expected over the few places over this region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Minna, Abuja, Lafia, Jalingo and Yola. As the day progresses, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms most of the high-grounds of the central cities. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated in the south west in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are expected over the South-East and while the coastal cities have chances of localised rains. Localised thunderstorms and rains are expected over the entire inland and coastal cities of the south in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33°C.
