Papaya Ex
Nigerian social media personality, Abike Raheem Halimah, popularly known as Papaya Ex, has alleged policeman of assault during a late-night stop in Ajah, Lagos State.
Papaya Ex said the incident happened on Friday night while she was returning home from a movie shoot.
While sharing her account of the story during a live session on TikTok, she explained that the incident which began as a calm exchange with a police officer later became a confrontation.
According to her, the officer allegedly hit her in the face with a gun, assaulted her driver, and forcefully took her phone.

The influencer said the incident occurred inside her car and left her bleeding.
She wrote: “nigeriapoliceforce an officer beat me up right inside my car 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭he used his gun on me . Please I’m at Ajah y’all I’m bleedinxgdgsh.”
Although the alleged assault was not recorded, Papaya Ex explained during the live broadcast that network issues prevented her from capturing the moment.
However, she displayed a visible mark on her face, which she said resulted from the incident.
Videos circulating online show a tense exchange between her and a man believed to be a police officer, with raised voices during the argument.
The full details of what led to the confrontation have not been confirmed.
Papaya Ex further stated that some residents in Ajah regularly experience harassment from certain officers in the area, describing the situation as ongoing. (Saturday Tribune)
