The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Tuesday, October 18, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Hazy conditions are expected over Gusau, Katsina, Nguru, Kano, Dutse and Maiduguri in the morning, later in the day sunny conditions will prevail over the region. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 34 – 39°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning hours. There are prospects of thunderstorms over the high grounds of the central states including Abuja, Lafia, Bida, Kaduna, Lokoja and Jos in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Localised rains are expected over the inland and the entire coast in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Ibadan, Nsukka, Abakaliki, Oshogbo, Akure and Enugu. Localised thunderstorms also are not unlikely over places like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Eket and Benin in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33°C.
