The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday October 16, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES:Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are expected over the entire North in the morning and afternoon/evening hours except places like southern Maiduguri, Potiskum, Bauchi, Gombe, Yola, Yelwa and Southern Sokoto axis which will experience localised thundery activities. Day time temperatures over this region should be in the range of 36 – 38°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition will prevail over most part of the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over places like Jos, Mambila Plateau, Lafia, Abuja, Markudi, Ibi and Jalingo during the morning period. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated to affect most parts of the central states. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34oC, except Jos and Mambila Plateau which are likely to be 28°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are likely over most parts of the inland cities with prospects of isolated rains to affect places like Enugu, Awka, Ogoja, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Warri, Yenagoa and its environs in the morning hours. Isolated thunderstorms and rains are expected over the same region in the afternoon and evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33°C.
