Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has said he has moved on from his marriage to his ex-wife, Annie Idibia.

The father of eight explained that he is now focused on his personal life and music career.

Speaking in a recent interview with media personality, Seun Okinbaloye, the veteran singer said he is concentrating on his work and moving forward after their separation.

“I have moved on my ex-wife, Annie Idibia, I dey do my thing dey go.”

2Baba and Annie Idibia began their relationship in the early 2000s and later became one of Nigeria’s most popular celebrity couples.

They welcomed their first daughter, Isabella, in 2008. The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2012 and married later that year, followed by a white wedding ceremony held in Dubai in 2013.

In 2014, they had their second daughter, Olivia.

In January 2025, 2Baba, however, announced via social media that he and Annie Idibia had been separated for some time and had filed for divorce, which came as a surprise to many fans.

Following the announcement, Annie was reported to have stepped away from social media and deleted several posts in reaction to the news spread online.

Months later, videos and photos surfaced online showing 2Baba during a traditional wedding ceremony with Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The new marriage sparked mixed reactions, with many social media users discussing the timing, coming shortly after his separation from Annie Idibia. (Nigerian Tribune)
