The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday October 13, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy situation are expected over the region during morning hours. There is possibility of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto, Yelwa, Kano and Kaduna during the evening period. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32 – 37°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy situation is anticipated with prospects of early morning isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jalingo, Bauchi, Makurdi and Mambilla. Localised thunderstorms are not also unlikely over the high ground areas of the region such as Lokoja, Minna, Jos and Bida during the evening/night hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 32°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness in the morning with probability of localised rains over the coastal cities such as Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar. There are chances of localised thunderstorms/rain showers over most places in the region during afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 – 31°C.
