The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved N700m for the construction of federal secretariats in six states.
The Council made the approval at today’s meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Briefing State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola said the six states that will benefit from this approval are: Anambra, Bayelsa, Zamfara, Nassarawa, Gombe and Osun.
He said work on the six federal secretariats, which are in various stages of completion had been stalled since 2012.
“With the approved cost variation has already been captured in the 2016 budget. With the approval of the variation, we can re-mobilise workers back to site.” (TV360 Nigeria)
