Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has condoled the Amori Family of Mosogar in Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state over the death of their matriarch, Mrs. Obireyibo Odayor Amori.
In a condolence statement issued in Asaba at the weekend by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sunny Ogefere, the governor said that though death is painful, the family should give thanks to God that their mother lived a fulfilled life.
He described Ma Amori as a grassroots mobiliser and community leader who affected many lives positively in her community, noting that she lived to a ripe age of 93 and was able to bring up children who have made it to the top in their chosen fields, among them Chief Ighoyota Amori, a Peoples Democratic Party stalwart and Senior Political Adviser to the Governor.
“I know the death of one’s mother can be painful but I urge the children and the family to take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life and bought up children that are popular within and outside the country,” the governor stated.
He prayed God Almighty to Grant the children and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
