“I would like to commend the Nigerian Police for their swift action in apprehending the criminals,” Obi said, adding that such efficiency should be extended to other security challenges facing the country.
He expressed hope that similar outcomes would be recorded in the fight against kidnapping and banditry, noting that consistent, decisive responses from law enforcement agencies could significantly reduce crime across Nigerian communities.
“If we continue to see such decisive actions from our law enforcement agencies, we will undoubtedly witness a significant decline in crime within our communities,” Obi stated.
The former Anambra State governor also reiterated his broader message on national renewal, saying, “A new Nigeria is possible and within our reach.”
The Kano incident, which sparked nationwide outrage, has renewed calls for stronger policing, faster response times, and sustained efforts to address violent crime across the country.
