James Uloko, Executive Director, North Central Development Commission
By AWAYI KUJE
The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has disclaimed any association with individuals or groups allegedly using its corporate name, logo, email, address and identity without authorisation.
Mr. James Uloko, the Commission’s Executive Director, Corporate Services, made this known in a public disclaimer he signed and issued to newsmen on Saturday in Lafia.
Uloko said the NCDC, established by an Act of 2024 with its Board duly constituted in 2025, had no affiliation or operational relationship with any person or entity parading similar names or operating fake websites and email addresses.
He specifically cautioned the public against engaging with websites and emails such as www.ncdc-gov.com and info@ncdc-gov.com, describing them as fraudulent and misleading.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the official Head Office of the North Central Development Commission is located at No. 15, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Lafia, Nasarawa State, and not at the World Trade Centre Complex, Abuja, or any other location,” he said.
Uloko explained that the Commission’s temporary presence in Abuja was limited to the Nasarawa State Liaison Office located at the Blue Springs Hotel Building, Central Area, Abuja, provided by the Nasarawa State Government.
He advised members of the public, government agencies, development partners and other stakeholders to exercise caution and verify all communications or transactions purportedly carried out in the name of the Commission through officially recognised channels only.
The executive director maintained that the NCDC would not be held liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising from dealings with unauthorised persons or groups.
According to him, the Commission has commenced appropriate actions through relevant authorities to address the matter and regrets any inconvenience the situation may cause.
He said that the disclaimer was issued in the interest of public awareness and protection. (NAN)
