Tobiloba ‘Smiling Assassin’ Ijomoni, Sadiq ‘Happy Boy’ Adeleke and Saddam ‘Baby Boxer’ Oladipupo dominated fan conversations at GOtv Boxing Night 34 Jams Festival.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the trio thrilled spectators with commanding performances at the packed Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
Adeleke and Oladipupo emerged national champions, delivering decisive victories that underlined their growing stature on Nigeria’s domestic boxing scene.
Ijomoni later claimed the night’s biggest individual honour, the Mojisola Ogunsanya Best Boxer Trophy, alongside a ?1 million cash prize.
The young lightweight defeated Segun “Odi” Gbobaniyi by unanimous decision in their eight-round national lightweight challenge contest.
In the headline bout, Adeleke dethroned defending champion Durotimi “Tiny” Agboola after a gruelling 10-round duel.
Judges returned a majority decision in Adeleke’s favour, rewarding what officials described as “steady pressure and ring control”.
The win marked Adeleke’s first national title, capping what ringside observers called a “measured and mature” performance.
Earlier, Oladipupo announced himself national lightweight champion, outclassing Imole “System” Oloyede by unanimous decision over 10 rounds.
“Baby Boxer” dictated the pace throughout, dominating exchanges to secure maximum points from all three judges.
The undercard produced emphatic finishes, exciting fans with early stoppages and intense action.
Emmanuel ‘Ability’ Abimbola halted previously unbeaten Sodiq ‘Smart Lion: Suleiman in the fourth round of their light welterweight bout.
Toheeb ‘Full Tank’ Hassan recorded a fifth-round technical knockout against Ezekiel ‘Touch’ Seun in the super bantamweight division.
International flavour came from Rasheed ‘ID Buster’ Idowu, who stopped Ghana’s Nii Offei Dodoo in the fourth round.
Outside the ring, fans enjoyed live music by Shoday and comedy performances from Triclowns.
