Two persons have been confirmed dead after a bicycle carrying two youths had a head-on collision with a moving luxury vehicle along the Okigwe road in Imo State on Christmas Eve.

Eyewitnesses said the victims, from Amatta in Ikeduru council area of the state, were riding to their destination on a bicycle along the road after a football training, when they collided with the luxury car and died instantly.

The incident, according to witnesses, instantly caused a gridlock along the busy Okigwe road as Christmas travellers were stuck for several hours.

Angry youths who stormed the scene almost lynched the driver before he escaped with help from passers-by, the witnesses said. (The Sun)
