President Bola Tinubu has engaged one of Nigeria’s most influential industrialists, elder statesman and global energy investor, Prince Arthur Eze, in a strategic partnership aimed at advancing Nigeria’s market-driven economic growth and commercialization of products of Nigerian research and innovation.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, this partnership was facilitated through the Minister, Dr. Kingsley Tochi Udeh, at a high-level engagement meeting which highlighted the Tinubu-led administration’s commitment to forging strong alliances between government, industry, and influential national stakeholders to energise the commercialisation of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) research results as key drivers of sustainable development.
Speaking during the strategic meeting, which centred on harnessing innovation, indigenous capacity, and emerging technologies to accelerate industrialisation, enhance job creation, and position Nigeria as a leading player in the global knowledge economy, Dr Udeh emphasised that partnerships with highly respected industry and influential global business leaders remain vital in shaping policies and mobilising national support for impactful innovation initiatives.
In a fireside chat recently, it is recalled that the Minister reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to partner with Chief Technology Officers to connect innovation and research products to the markets.
Prince Arthur Eze, Founder/CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, whose business interests span Nigeria and international markets, and whose political influence has continued to shape national discourse and development efforts, commended President Tinubu’s leadership foresight for appointing Dr. Udeh as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology.
He also commended the Minister’s humility and commitment to duty in nation building, as well as the Ministry’s vision and transformational actions in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President.
He reaffirmed his commitment to economic empowerment, supporting initiatives that promote technological advancement, youth empowerment, and national cohesion through market driven innovation and industrial growth.
Eze called on all stakeholders and Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to support Mr President all the way to secure his second term come 2027, to ensure the full realisation of the benefits of the Renewed hope Agenda.
In a vote of thanks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Philip Ebiogeh Ndiomu, expressed profound appreciation to Prince Arthur Eze for his continued support to national development. He reiterated that the Ministry under the leadership of Dr. Kingsley Udeh, will continue to engage visionary business and political leaders whose experience, influence, and investment capacity can help translate research and innovation into measurable socio-economic progress.
He also emphasized that the meeting represents another significant milestone in FMIST’s ongoing drive to build strategic partnerships that harness innovation, leadership, and influence for national prosperity.
He acknowledged the value of Prince Eze’s insights, experience, and influence, noting that such engagements will further strengthen the Ministry’s mandate to deliver impactful, innovation-driven policies and programmes for the benefit of Nigerians. (LEADERSHIP)
