Bayelsa Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo

Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo, is reportedly dead.
Unconfirmed reports said that he died in an undisclosed hospital in Yenagoa, the state capital, earlier today, Thursday, December 11, 2025.
As at the time of filing this report, neither the Bayelsa State Government nor his family had commented on Ewhrudjakpo’s fate.
News Express had earlier reported that the Bayelsa deputy governor collapsed during a function in his office and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
Ewhrudjakpo, born on September 5, 1965, was a former federal lawmaker and had served as the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State since 2020.
