Senator Dariye dumps PDP, defects to APC

The lawmaker representing Plateau Central Senatorial Constituency, Senator Joshua Dariye, has defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was announced by Senate President Bukola Saraki during the closure of plenary on Thursday.

Speaking on his defection, Dariye said: “I am actually defecting only because of the ongoing crisis in the PDP at the national level.”
