Music legend Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba has finally spoken out amid rising speculation surrounding his marriage to Edo State lawmaker Hon. Natasha Osawaru Idibia.

In a video circulating online, the singer expressed urgent concern over how far the situation has escalated, warning that the narratives circulating on social media could put his wife at risk.

“I am perfectly fine,” he said, urging the public to “calm down” and “cease fire.”

He added that while every family has its issues, the public attention on his personal matters has gone too far.

2Baba clarified that he did not post anything online and repeatedly pleaded with fans and followers to stop spreading rumours.

“This is a dangerous situation right now. This is getting out of hand. I know what fans can do, I know what people can do,” he said.

“I am perfectly okay. But this is putting Natasha at risk, and it is not fair on anybody to do this kind of thing. So I need everybody to calm down. I need everybody to cease fire. We are going to resolve all these issues.

“People dey get issues for house, no be today. But this is getting out of hand. Please, friends, family, everybody, cease fire. Please, I am perfectly fine. I didn’t put up that post.” (TRIBUNE)
