The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 56 suspects and recovered illicit drugs and weapons during coordinated raids on criminal hotspots across Abuja.

Sources said that the operations were carried out on Wednesday night at about 11:20 p.m. by operatives from Apo, Asokoro, Karmo, Kubwa, Gwagwa, Gwarinpa, Maitama, Lugbe, Mabushi, Dutse Alhaji, Kurudu, and Bwari Divisions. The raids targeted black spots and uncompleted buildings known to be used for criminal activities.

According to the sources, officers recovered quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, knives, and other items used in criminal acts.
