The leadership and members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra State Chapter have extended their warmest congratulations to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his resounding victory during the Saturday, November 8, 2025 governorship election.

Soludo scored a total of 442,664 votes from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state to defeat 16 other rivals from other political parties to emerge winner.

SWAN in a statement signed by Chimezie Anaso and Uche Ndeke, Chairman and Secretary respectively, said: "The triumph was both a unanimous endorsement of your administration and an eloquent affirmation of your visionary leadership, transformative policies, and unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of Anambra State.

"Your victory on Saturday is of particular significant as you are the third governor in Anambra's political history to secure a second term, a testament to the trust reposed in your administrative acumen, and people centered governance

"SWAN, as the body of sports journalists and partners in the Anambra sports sector are happy to associate with you and hereby reaffirm our readiness, willingness and availability to continue to work with your administration to achieve the solution Agenda for sports.

"We commend the achievements you made in the sports sector in the outgoing administration and urge you to do more with greater vigour to enable youths of Anambra tap into the huge sports economy."

While urging Soludo to sustain the gains in his first tenure and ensure that sports continue to serve as a powerful tool for social cohesion, economic empowerment, and national integration, SWAN Anambra Chapter urged him to increase investment in sports infrastructure and also continue to promote healthy lifestyles among the people.
