
The clerics accidented car

An Anambra-based Anglican cleric has been reportedly hospitalized following alleged chase by some suspected government agents in charge of emblem enforcement.
It was gathered that in the cause of the chase the Cleric was forced into a bush where he reportedly crashed with his vehicle and sustained severe injuries
The incident which happened on Tuesday, November 4th resulted in the priest in the hospital.
Information has it that the Anglican cleric who was serving at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state was (under the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi) was going home after work, driving on a branded vehicle of the Diocese when he came across the said government’s agents along the road before they gave him a hot chase.
A male voice in a video circulating online condemned the commando style and unprofessional approach of some government agents in discharging their duties
He wondered why they should chase a priest in such a dreadful manner and in a place that is still recovering from the scars and previous tragedies of insecurity.
"Despite knowing that he’s a priest and despite seeing the inscriptions on the church branded bus, they still chased him until he ended up in the bush", the male voice said.
"The vehicle was also seen where it ended up in the bush."
Although the identity of the priest is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, the voice said that the priest was rushed to the hospital.
He further called on the state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to call the government agents to other and ensure they are given the necessary training that will aid in the professional discharge of their duties.
