
Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has arrived at the headquarters of the Joint Task Force North-East Operation HADIN KAI to assess counter-insurgency operations in the region.
Shaibu, who arrived at Maimalari Cantonment along with other top officers from the Army Headquarters in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Thursday morning, was received by the Commander, Headquarters Theatre Command, Operation HADIN KAI.
He then moved immediately to a closed door meeting with field commanders.
A source familiar with the visit said the COAS pledged to provide the necessary support to enhance their operational efficiency and morale. (BUSINESS DAY)
