Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed emirs for the newly established emirates in the state.
The governor appointed Alhaji Muhammad Kilishi Musa as the first Emir of Ari, with a second-class Emir status.
While Alhaji Ya’u Shehu Abubakar was appointed as the second-class Emir of Burra, Alhaji Ibrahim Samaila Boyi received his appointment letter as the second-class Emir of Warji.
The governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, led a high-powered delegation to present the letters in line with Section 16 of the State Chieftaincy Appointment and Deposition Law 2025.
While congratulating the new emirs on their appointment, Aminu Hammayo charged them to promote unity, peace, and community development in their respective domains in line with the policies of the present administration.
Our correspondent gathered that the appointment letters for the emirs of the remaining newly created emirates will be presented in due course.
Those awaiting presentations include the emirs of Dambam, Duguri, Gamawa, Bununu, Giade, Jama’a, Lame and Toro, who were recently elevated under the Bauchi State Chieftaincy reform. (Daily Trst)
