The Delta State Government has announced that it is providing, through the State Primary Health Care Development Agency in collaboration with The Carter Center, free surgeries and treatments for individuals affected by Hydrocele (enlarged scrotum) and Lymphatic Filariasis (Elephantiasis).
“Men aged 18 years and above who have Hydrocele (enlarged scrotum) are advised to report to the Asaba Specialist Hospital from October 16th to 21st, 2025, for free surgical operations.
The above exercise continues after the schedule date in the following centers: Central Hospital Warri, Eku Baptist Hospital, and Asaba Specialist Hospital.
“Similarly, persons – both male and female – suffering from Lymphedema (enlarged limbs) are encouraged to visit the nearest Health Centre in their Local Government Areas for free treatment,” a Government Special Announcement signed by Harold Ojji, Fn. Permanent Secretary/Director, Public Communication, Delta State Ministry of Information, said.
The announcement dated 17th October, 2025, concluded:
