Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially accepted the hosting rights for the 3rd Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) and the 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), scheduled to hold in April 2026.
The Governor gave his approval during a high-level meeting between the Kaduna State Government and the NIPR Governing Council held at the Government House, Kaduna, on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Governor Sani commended the NIPR for its role in establishing the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) and for winning the hosting rights of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), describing the Institute’s global achievements as a testament to the quality of leadership and professionalism in Nigeria’s public relations practice.
He expressed delight over the Institute’s choice of themes for the 2026 NPRW “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate; The Imperatives of Public Relations” and the decision to host the event in Kaduna.
The Governor said the hosting right was a recognition of Kaduna’s ongoing transformation and reform-driven governance.
Governor Sani assured that the Kaduna State Government would fully partner with the Institute to ensure a successful and impactful hosting, noting that the event would further position Kaduna as a hub for dialogue, innovation, and development.
Earlier, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, disclosed that the 2026 edition of the Public Relations Week would be a special package, serving as a prelude to Nigeria’s hosting of the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF).
Dr. Neliaku described the NPRW as Nigeria’s largest gathering of communication and reputation management professionals, noting that the 2026 event is expected to attract international participants, development partners, and resource persons.
“You cannot quantify the reputation capital, financial capital, and professional capital that will emerge from this event,” Dr. Neliaku stated.
The 2026 NPRW, expected to draw over 2,000 delegates, is projected to significantly boost the local economy and further reinforce Kaduna’s standing as a key destination for national and international conferences.
The statement was signed by Stanley Ogadigo, Director, Public Relations, NIPR, on October 12, 2025.
