Lekki residents under the aegis of Lekki Phase 1 Residents Association (LERA) have expressed readiness to participate in the 2025 ‘MoveIt’ initiative to encourage stronger connections among neighbours.
LERA’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Akin Semowo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, that the initiative was more than just a fitness activity.
NAN reports that the initiative, bid to hold on Oct. 1, is organized by a social enterprise, BettahLife Living Benefits Ltd. in collaboration with LERA.
Also, ‘MoveIt’ is the BettahLife initiative to inspire individual well-being in communities by fostering engagement, and inspiring healthier living.
Semowo said: “It is a community-wide call to action for healthier living and stronger connections among neighbours.
“Our residents lead busy lives and often, opportunities to come together outside of formal meetings or celebrations are rare.
“MoveIt provides a refreshing platform where wellness, fun, and community spirit intersect.
“It is a chance to step away from our daily routines, engage in physical activity, and remind ourselves that health is truly wealth.”
The secretary said that the association’s collaboration with BettahLife was a deliberate choice, rooted in shared values and vision.
He said that BettahLife had consistently demonstrated its commitment to inspiring healthier, more active lifestyles across different communities and the initiative had already made a positive impact.
“For LERA, wellness is not only about individual health, but also about creating an environment where residents feel supported, valued, and engaged.
“By working with BettahLife, we are tapping into their expertise, experience, and structured approach to community wellness.
“Together, we are creating a programme that is not only exciting, but also sustainable, one that has the potential to grow into a long-term culture of well-being within LERA,” he said.
Semowo urged residents to take advantage of the opportunity to come out together and make it a day of shared joy and activity.
He said, “MoveIt is not a competition; it is about coming together, taking steps toward healthier living, and enjoying the company of your neighbours.”
Also, the Chief Growth Officer, BettahLife, Mr. Ayodeji Bankole-Olusina, said that the enterprise was committed to making its initiative a lifestyle culture for communities.
According to him, MoveIt is a community well-being activity that encourages the community to achieve well-being goals together in a consistent and sustainable manner.
“BettahLife is committed to helping individuals and households live healthier, happier lives through fitness, nutrition, and community engagement.
“Movement keeps the heart strong, and by creating this opportunity, BettahLife is positioning well-being as a shared lifestyle, not just an individual choice,” he said. (NAN)
