PDP BoT passes vote of confidence on Makarfi Committee

The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has passed a vote of confidence on the Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee in Abuja.

Rising after a four-hour closed door meeting, they also mandated the Committee to prepare for a fresh convention, which will be held in Abuja.

Chairman of the BoT, Sen Walid Jubril, also explained that the board has directed the Caretaker Committee to raise funds for the proposed convention.

This will be the third time that the PDP has been trying to hold a convention that will elect principal officers of the party after the first and second attempts in May and August failed. (Channels TV)
