Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, August 26, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: There are chances of morning thunderstorm over Maiduguri, Kano, Potiskum, Damaturu, Nguru and Dutse. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely over Kano, Katsina, Zaria and Gusau. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 33°C.
CENTRAL STATES: There are chances of thunderstorm affecting Abuja, Minna Bida, Ilorin, Lafia Jalingo and Mambila Plateau during the morning hours. Afternoon thunderstorms/rains are likely over Jos, Kaduna, Abuja, Makurdi, Lafia, Lokoja and Minna. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 31°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Localised rains are expected over Calabar, Obudu, Ogoja and Eket during the morning hours. There are prospects of Localised thunderstorms/rains over Akure, Oshogbo, Ibadan, Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Warri and Calabar during the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 30°C.
