It will be a day of thunderstorms with chances of cloudy conditions and localised rains in southern states: NiMET

Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, August 25, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of thunderstorms to prevail over Bauchi, Gombe, Potiskum, Damaturu and Maiduguri axis during the morning hours. Thunderstorms are not unlikely to prevail over Kano, Zaria, Dutse, Katsina, Bauchi, Nguru, Sokoto, Yelwa and Gusau during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 - 34oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Isolated thunderstorms are expected over Abuja, Minna, Bida, Lafia, Jos, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau and Yola in the morning hours. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over most parts of the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27 - 32oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning, cloudy conditions are expected over the southwestern part of the coast while there are chances of localised rains over Enugu, Umuahia, Abakaliki, Ogoja, Ikom, Obudu, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Eket. The entire region will experience isolated rains during the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28 - 30oC.
