The meeting is being attended by representatives of labour unions and the Dangote Group
The Federal Government is currently in a crucial meeting with the leadership of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, (NUPENG) and Dangote Group to halt the strike embarked upon by NUPENG.
The meeting which is taking place at the Conference room of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has all the parties present.
Muhammad Dingyadi, the minister of labour and employment, is presiding over the meeting to halt the recent strike.
Although, the meeting was scheduled for 10am, NUPENG delegation arrived at 5:05 pm.
Present at the meeting are the Nigeria’s Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, representative of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and MRS Holdings Limited.
Dingyadi, had at the beginning of the meeting described the petroleum sector as crucial and appealed to all the parties to work towards resolving their differences
The meeting is also being attended by officials of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC. (BusinessDay)
