Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday, August 24, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Nguru, Potiskum and Gombe during the morning hours. There are prospects of thunderstorms over Kano, Zaria, Dutse, Katsina, Bauchi and Gusau during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30- 33oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions will prevail over the region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Bida, Jalingo and Yola in the morning hours. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over the entire region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27- 31oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the south-western part of the coast and inland with localised rains to prevail over Enugu, Ikom, Obudu, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Eket in the morning hours. The entire region will experience isolated rains during the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29- 30oC
