Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Tuesday, August 23, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over most parts of the regions in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Kano, Potiskum, Sokoto, Yelwa and Nguru axis later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32 – 36 oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Morning cloudiness is expected with slim chances of isolated rains over Abuja, Ibi, Yola and Jalingo and Mambila Plateau axis. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Kaduna, Jos and Lafia in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 31oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected in the morning hours for the entire region. There are possibilities of localised rains/showers over the coastal cities such as Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt including inland areas like Enugu, Owerri and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 31oC.
