Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today,August 21, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are chances of morning thunderstorm over Sokoto, parts of Kano, Katsina, Gusau, and Yelwa. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely over Maiduguri, Potiskum, Damaturu, Nguru, Zaria and Yobe. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 33 °C.

CENTRAL STATES: There are chances of thunderstorm affecting Jos, Bauchi, Jalingo, Yola in the morning hours. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely over Jos, Kaduna, Abuja, Makurdi, Lafia, Lokoja, Bida, Ilorin and Minna. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 34 °C.

SOUTHERN STATES: The morning hours are expected to be mostly cloudy with prospects of light rains over places such as Warri, Benin, Port Harcourt and Owerri. More widespread rainfall activities are expected over Enugu, Awka, Ebonyi, Onitsha, Uyo, Eket, Yenogoa, Aba, Asaba, Akure, Ibadan, Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Iseyin, Ikeja and Ekiti in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 33 °C.
