Abdulsalami Abubakar woos Ndi Anambra for Obiano

Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd.), has urged Anambra people to give their support the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, to enable him complete the impressive plan he has for the speedy development of the state.

Abubakar spoke during a courtesy visit on the Governor at the Governor’s Lodge Amawbia on Friday. He observed that from the time Governor Obiano “took the mantle of leadership in the state, the people of the state have witnessed a great transformation.”

According to him, “In the area of security, Anambra State stands as one of the best in the country. I also observed that from the moment we crossed the boundary into Anambra State, there are visible signs of development. Your Excellency, I want to congratulate you and the people that made this possible. I urge the people living in this state to continue to support you so that they will continue to enjoy the great atmosphere in the state.”

Abubakar further revealed that he was visiting Anambra to commission a project built by his friend, Dr. Ben Aghaji, in Nnewi and decided to pay Governor Obiano a courtesy call. He congratulated the governor for making great efforts to improve the economy of the state.

Responding to Abubakar’s remarks, Governor Obiano said that was elated to receive the former Head of State in Anambra State.

Describing visiting former leader as a great man, Governor Obiano thanked him for finding time to breeze in to see him and for urging the people to support him.
