
Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today,Saturday, August 20, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning hours while thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon/evening period over Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Damaturu, Gombe, Zaria, Yelwa and Sokoto axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 31°C.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of morning rains over Mambilla Plateau, Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Yola and Jalingo. There are equally prospects of evening thunderstorms over Jos, Bauchi, Parts of Abuja, Kaduna, Bida, Lokoja, Minna and Ilorin. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25- 29°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are chances of morning rains to affect Calabar, Uyo, Eket, Enugu, Owerri, Ebonyi, Yenagoa and Port Harcourt. These rains are expected to extend and affect Ikom, Obudu, Awka, Onitsha, Asaba, Warri, Lagos, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Akure, Benin Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta by afternoon/evening period. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 29°C.
