Four killed, others injured as suspected herders attack community in Taraba

Not fewer than four persons have been killed in Gasol local government area in Taraba state in the early hours of Monday following an attack on the community by suspected herders.

According to an eyewitness, Tyoban Mvuu said the incident at Kortse, a Tiv settlement within Dananacha community of three Tiv persons and a Fulani has been ki’led as a result of the cri’is while his brother Orase Mvuu has been cut with a Machete and is battling to survive in a hospital.

All the bodies of the victims have already been evacuated to Dananacha town by military troops according to family members of the victims.

The attack also left several persons with various degrees of injuries who are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals within the local government area.

The chairman Gasol the local government council Hon. Sadique Abubakar confirmed the attack, stating that three persons including a Fulani man and two others. (BusinessDay)
