Mohamed Salah, Mac Allister and Elliott all missed their spot-kicks in shootout at Warmbley Stadium to hand victory to the underdogs.

The match witnessed debut goals for Liverpool's new signings Ekitike and Frimpong while Mateta and Sarr Sarr scored for reigning FA Cup champions Palace during regulation time.
