The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today,Monday, August 15, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa, while Places like Katsina, Dutse, Kano and Nguru will have localised thunderstorms in the morning. Later in the day the entire region is expected to have localised thunderstorms. Maximum
temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27 - 33 oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated over the region with possibilities of localized rains over some parts of the central cities including Abuja, Jalingo, Nasarawa and Lokoja during the morning hours. There are also prospects of localised thunderstorms over the
high ground areas such as Abuja, Jos, Lafia and Minna in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 - 31 oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is anticipated over the inland and coastal cities of south west with slim chances of localised rains over few places in the east during the morning hours. Calabar, Port Harcourt and Lagos including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka
will have localised rain showers later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 30 oC.
