32-year-old woman, Modinat Saka, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death during a domestic altercation in Agbado area of Ogun State.

It was gathered that on Wednesday at about 7:00 p.m., Saka’s tenant, Ganiu Abdullahi, 40, had a minor quarrel with her.

“During the dispute, the deceased reportedly began cursing the suspect, which led to a physical fight between the two inside Ganiu’s room,” police sources said.

The sources added that Ganiu allegedly used a broken glass to stab Modinat on the hand, prompting her to retaliate by stabbing him in the chest with a broken bottle.

He was said to have died from the injury.

Detectives who visited the scene recovered evidence and took photographs of both the scene and the corpse, which was later deposited at Life Channel morgue, Olambe Alausa Road, for autopsy.

The police added that the suspect is currently in custody and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Abeokuta, for further investigation. (Zagazola)
