Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed an Abia State-born Joachim Achor, as the state’s Accountant General, in acting capacity.

Achor came to Anambra as a student and distinguished himself during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, and earning the state merit award.

He was subsequently employed by the state civil service and has risen through the ranks to become Accountant General.

The appointment aligns with Soludo’s reform agenda, which emphasises merit, diversity, and institutional excellence.

News Express reports that the governor had earlier appointed Mr. Adebayo Ojeyinka, an Osun State indigene, as a Permanent Secretary, further demonstrating his commitment to building an all-inclusive government.
