Desperate political characters behind fake letter purportedly from Mohammed Babangida rejecting Tinubu’s appointment — Onoh

Former South-East Spokesman to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Denge Dr Josef Onoh

The former South-East Spokesman to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Denge. Dr. Josef Onoh, on Monday categorically stated that the purported letter circulating, allegedly from Mohammed Babangida declining his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), is a fabrication by desperate political characters.

“This malicious act is a clear attempt to ridicule our esteemed administration and tarnish the impeccable character of Mohammed Babangida, a man known for his decency and integrity.

“It is disheartening that such individuals would stoop to this level, likely out of disappointment that our administration has chosen a qualified and honorable individual over the looters and opportunists they represent. Mohammed Babangida’s reputation stands firm, and we trust in your wisdom to appoint capable leaders for the progress of our nation,” Onoh said in a statement.

He declared that, “The administration remains committed to its transformative agenda, and such cheap tactics will not deter our progress.”

“To these idle political actors, I sarcastically suggest they prepare more fake letters of decline for the numerous appointments the President will announce in the coming days—since their joblessness has clearly left them with little else to do but wallow in hopelessness,” Onoh added.
