A 41-year-old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was found dead in a suspected case of suicide inside the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Prayer City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the incident occurred on Friday morning and was brought to attention by the Chief Security Officer of the church, Esiere Ekikere.
Ekikere said he received a distress call from the church auditorium at about 7:20 a.m., notifying him that an unidentified woman was lying motionless on the floor.
Upon arriving at the scene, he found the woman unresponsive, with an empty bottle of suspected poisonous substance, identified as “Sniper,” lying beside her.
Police men visited the scene, Photographs of the scene were taken for documentation, and the body was later moved to the Real Divine Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Efforts are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the incident, as those familiar with the deceased are being approached to provide more information. (Zagazola, excluding headline)
