La Liga giants Real Madrid have over the last 24 hours sent a message the way of Premier League counterparts Chelsea.
This comes after the Blues marched all the way to glory at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The finale of the newly-formatted tournament was played to completion on Sunday night, as Chelsea locked horns with Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.
And when all was said and done, it was the former who emerged as surprise victors, by three goals to nil.
The aforementioned Real Madrid for their part carved a path to the competition’s semi-finals, but were ultimately sent packing by PSG.
Those behind the scenes in Spain’s capital, though, evidently felt it only right to congratulate champions Chelsea on their impressive campaign in the USA.
In an official post across the club’s social media platforms, Real Madrid therefore wrote:
‘Congratulations to Chelsea FC and all their fans for a well-deserved FIFA CWC title. And our congratulations to FIFA and its president Gianni Infantino for the brilliant organisation of the 2025 Club World Cup.’ (Getfootball)
