Trump demands CNN, New York Times fire reporters 'IMMEDIATELY' for Iran nuclear coverage

US President Donald Trump demanded that CNN and The New York Times “IMMEDIATELY" fire reporters Thursday who covered US intelligence assessments about Iran nuclear strikes.

"FAKE NEWS REPORTERS FROM CNN & THE NEW YORK TIMES SHOULD BE FIRED, IMMEDIATELY!!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social, calling them "BAD PEOPLE WITH EVIL INTENTIONS."

"Rumor is that the Failing New York Times and Fake News CNN will be firing the reporters who made up the FAKE stories on the Iran Nuclear sites because they got it so wrong," Trump claimed in a separate post.

The outlets reported on classified US intelligence that suggested the weekend strikes set back Iran's nuclear program only by months rather than destroying it.

Trump previously singled out CNN's Natasha Bertrand, saying she "should be FIRED from CNN! I watched her for three days doing Fake News."

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard criticized the reports, claiming leaked assessments were "written with low confidence" and selectively released to "undermine President Trump's decisive leadership."

Trump has consistently claimed Iran's nuclear facilities were "obliterated" in the operation that targeted three key sites, contradicting the intelligence assessments reported by major news outlets. (Anadolu Agency)
