At least four person were killed while three others injured following an attack by suspected armed hoodlums on Jean Tangur 2 village in Tangur District, Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.

Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the incident occurred on Wednesday night, June 19, at about 10:40 p.m.

The sources said the attackers stormed the community and opened fire on residents, killing four women on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Rachael Ayuba, Cecilia John, Naomi Siman, and Esther Ezra while three other individuals sustained bullet wounds during the attack, all of whom are currently receiving treatment at the Cottage Hospital in Bokkos.

Combined troops comprising the military, police personnel, and local vigilantes were promptly deployed to the scene.
