The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) apprehended 84 suspects during a clean-up operation in Agege.

The State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Mr Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed this in a post on his official X handle, @tokunbo_wahab, on Friday.

He stated that the exercise was part of the agency’s ongoing enforcement operation aimed at ridding the state of criminal elements.

“The agency, on Friday, embarked on its ongoing clean-up enforcement operation in the Agege area.

“Locations visited during the operation included the railway corridor (Ojurin), Isale Oja, Oke-Koto, AP in Agege, and other adjoining streets where the presence of some undesirable elements was observed.

“During the exercise, a total of 84 suspects were arrested, comprising 82 males and two females,” Wahab said.

According to the commissioner, all the suspects will be duly brought before the court. (NAN)
