Tottenham forward Manor Solomon is stuck in Israel with his new wife after flying out to get married, according to reports. The winger, who spent last season helping Leeds United secure promotion to the Premier League, tied the knot with his partner Dana Voshina on Thursday. It came six days after Solomon played for Israel in their World Cup qualifying victory over Estonia.

The happy couple, who have been together since 2018, shared a number of pictures on social media to commemorate their special day. They were all smiles as they exchanged their wedding vows before throwing a lavish party with family and friends. However, their dream trip has turned into a nightmare following the outbreak of war between Israel and Iran.

The two countries have exchanged fire over the last few days, with each nation facing missile attacks from the other. The rapid escalation has led to flights out of the danger zone being suspended until at least the end of June.

Solomon and his new wife remain stranded in the country, according to The Sun, with tens of thousands of Brits also stuck in the region.

It comes three years after Solomon had to be evacuated out of Ukraine by the Israeli government. He was playing for Shakhtar Donetsk when Russia launched their invasion and was loaned to Fulham shortly afterwards.

Solomon is not the only footballer to have been caught up in the conflict between Israel and Iran. Mehdi Taremi, the Inter Milan striker, recently got stuck in Tehran after returning to Iran for international duty. (The Express UK)
