IPOB wades into Ebuka Obi’s land dispute in Imo

Ebuka Obi, founder of Zion Ministries

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has waded into the land dispute between the founder of the Zion Ministries, Evangelist Ebuka Obi, and the Ngor-Okpala community in Imo State, urging the government and other Igbo stakeholders to intervene to achieve a peaceful resolution.

A statement by Emma Powerful, IPOB’s publicity officer, reads, “IPOB will refuse to acknowledge the suggestions of distractors since they instructed Ebuka Obi to meet with the government prior to obtaining the land alongside Eze Imo, local leaders of the host communities, and several government representatives in Owerri. The communities need to uphold peaceful resolutions since no one took their land through force.

“Those orchestrating this crisis, especially the religious figures and certain unprincipled individuals claiming to be politicians, must cease their unlawful behaviors,” Powerful warned. (Daily Sun)
