The 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS1) in the federal government unity colleges across Nigeria will be held on Saturday, June 14.

The National Examinations Council (NECO) made this known over the weekend when it stated that candidates seeking admission into Nigeria’s unity colleges will sit the entrance examination on June 14 across the federation.

The NCEE is a yearly entrance examination conducted by NECO for primary six pupils seeking admission into the federal government colleges owned across Nigeria.

NECO, in a statement, explained that the 2025 examination will be conducted in designated centres across the country for applicants who completed their primary education during the 2024/2025 academic session.

Besides, the council directed all concerned parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards are present at the designated centres on the examination day.

Applicants for the examination are expected by the rules to be between the ages 10 and 13. The basic subjects tested include Mathematics, English Language, Quantitative and Verbal Aptitude, General Science, and Social Studies.

The National Examinations Council is the examination body responsible for conducting major examinations in Nigeria, such as the NCEE, Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), and the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE). (BusinessDay)
