The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday, July 27, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are anticipated over the North in the morning hours except areas around Sokoto that would be cloudy. The afternoon/evening period Thunderstorms are expected over Sokoto, Zaria, Gusau, Katsina, Kano and Yelwa axis. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions should prevail in the north eastern axis for the rest of the day. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30-33oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorms/rains are expected to affect Abuja, Makurdi, Lafia, Lokoja, Jos, Minna, Lokoja, Bauchi, Bida and the Mambilla Plateau in the morning hours. The region will be cloudy with chances of afternoon/evening Localised thunderstorms especially in the High ground areas. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25-30oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of morning rains over, Port Harcourt, Eket, Asaba, Calabar, Owerri Yenagoa and Uyo. Localised thunderstorms/rains are expected over the rest of the region later in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-29oC.
