The Ebonyi state police command have arrested one Ezeoke Chidera, native of Egugho Ezzagu in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state over alleged killing a septuagenarian, Mrs Awoke Rose.
According to statement made available to newsmen, the Ebonyi Police Public Relation Officer,(PPRO) SP Joshua Ukandu explained that the command is currently investigating to understand the motive behind the brazen attack.
The statement further noted that the suspect, Ezeoke lived in the same compound with the victim where he allegedly hits the deceased several times with shovel and abandoned her in a pool of her blood.
It reads: ?On 02/06/2025 at about 0600hrs, we received a report that one Ezeoke Chidera, who lives in the same compound with Mrs Awoke Rose, ?F? aged about 60-year at Egugho Ezzagu in Ishielu LGA, attacked the said Mrs Awoke Rose hitting her several times with a shovel and abandoned her in a pool of her blood.
?Officers of the command were able to apprehend the suspect; the command is currently investigating to understand the motive of the brazen attack.?
