A lifeless body of a yet-to-be identified young girl has been found in a hotel in Igbogene axis of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
Residents told Daily Trust that the deceased lodged in the hotel with a young man suspected to be a yahoo boy.
It was gathered that few minutes after lodging in, the suspected internet fraudster (yahoo boy) left the deceased behind at the guest house.
The guest house manager later found the dead body of the deceased and reported the incident at the Igbogene Divisional police headquarters in the area.
Daily Trust gathered that the corpse has been evacuated to the mortuary.
Police spokesman in Bayelsa State, DSP Musa Muhammad, who confirmed the incident, said investigation is ongoing to ensure that culprits were brought to book.
He said: ?We received the report yesterday, though no arrest has been made for now, but investigation is ongoing, we are making serious inquiries to ensure that the culprits are brought to book, also autopsy would be ran on the deceased body to ascertain the cause of the death.? (Weekend Trust)
